Job summary

Triple Cities Metal Finishing is seeking a hands-on maintenance team member for an entry-level role focused on keeping metal finishing equipment in top condition and ensuring environmental compliance through water treatment management. The position is production-floor oriented with shared responsibilities across maintenance tasks.

You will monitor systems, perform routine tests, manage chemicals, and assist with PM tasks and repairs.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of the wastewater treatment system, ensuring pumps, filters, and chemical feeds operate correctly.
• Conduct routine water sampling and testing (pH, metals, chemical residuals) to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Safely handle, mix, and replenish treatment chemicals; maintain logs of usage and inventory.
• Operate filter presses and manage hazardous waste labeling and collection.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on plating lines; clean tanks, inspect heaters, lubricate parts.
• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs of pumps, valves, and ventilation systems.
• Identify and report workplace hazards; adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Log completed work orders and track parts usage in ERP.
