Job summary

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking a friendly and reliable Maintenance Technician for Harvest Crossing in Jackson, Ohio. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training as you maintain apartments, common areas and grounds and assist in preparing vacant units for new residents.

You'll work Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with on-call rotation and supervision from experienced team members. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance, repairs, or building trades; training will be provided.
• Willingness to learn plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC and general maintenance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision as skills develop.
• Positive, service-oriented approach when working with residents and staff.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR required.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior repairs and routine maintenance in apartments, common areas, buildings, and grounds.
• Assist with preparing vacant apartments for new residents.
• Respond to service requests and communicate progress with supervisor and maintenance team.
• Assist with inspecting work by outside contractors.
• Help maintain property's exterior appearance and curb appeal.
• Monitor maintenance supplies and expenses and report needs to supervisor.
• Follow health and safety codes and standards.
• Inspect and maintain laundry facilities, fitness areas, restrooms and other common areas.
• Assist with resident functions and other property needs as requested by management.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
