Job summary

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking a friendly and reliable Maintenance Technician for Harvest Crossing in Jackson, Ohio. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training as you maintain apartments, common areas and grounds and assist in preparing vacant units for new residents.

You'll work Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with on-call rotation and supervision from experienced team members. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance, repairs, or building trades; training will be provided.
• Willingness to learn plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC and general maintenance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision as skills develop.
• Positive, service-oriented approach when working with residents and staff.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR required.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior repairs and routine maintenance in apartments, common areas, buildings, and grounds.

Maintenance Technician

Harvest Crossing | Jackson, OH

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for Harvest Crossing, our apartment community in Jackson, Ohio. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone with basic maintenance knowledge who takes pride in their work and wants to develop their skills. The successful candidate will receive training and mentoring from experienced maintenance team members while helping maintain the property and provide quality service to residents.

Schedule

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week | On-call rotation as needed

The Successful Maintenance Technician Will:

• Perform interior and exterior repairs and routine maintenance in apartments, common areas, buildings, and grounds.
• Assist with preparing vacant apartments for new residents.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance, repairs, or building trades; training and mentoring will be provided.
• A willingness to learn and develop skills in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to follow instructions, work with minimal supervision as skills develop, and communicate effectively.
• Positive, service-oriented approach when working with residents, coworkers, vendors, and the public.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
• Reliable transportation required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach, lift, pull, and push, and lift or carry up to 75 pounds. This role will require working indoors and outdoors and responding to maintenance needs throughout the property.
