Job summary

The City of Columbia is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform semi-skilled and unskilled tasks supporting the operations of the assigned division. The role requires following set procedures under close supervision and involves manual labor and basic tool use.

Responsibilities

Performs semi-skilled and unskilled maintenance work to support the operations of the assigned division or department.
Performs general manual labor tasks as required.
Assists in maintaining trucks and equipment; performs cleaning, preventive maintenance and simple repairs as needed.
Drives and operates trucks and other vehicles; uses hand and power tools as necessary.
Attends training and meetings to enhance job knowledge and skills.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
