Job summary

Dayton Superior is seeking a dedicated machine operator to maintain and operate machinery including conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines such as grinders, drills, and presses. You will help meet production requirements while keeping the work area clean and safe.

Under supervision, you will select processes from prescribed rules and report any non-routine issues to your supervisor. Strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and timely documentation on production tickets is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Operates assigned machines, including resistance welding, brake presses, and mechanical power presses. Operates saws, drills, and grinders. Consistently meets production requirements.
• Maintains clean and safe work area.
• Packing finished materials into dunnage and also loading and unloading.
• Checks that the finished workpiece conforms to the specifications.
• Completes documentation correctly for process monitors and production tickets.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions and may fix issues during the shift.
