Job summary

White Cap seeks a machinist to maintain and operate a variety of machines, including conventional, CNC, grinders, drills, and presses, in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Strong candidates will have a HS diploma or GED, 0–2 years of experience, and the ability to read safety procedures and apply basic math skills. Expect a physically active, on-site role with adherence to safety protocols and production goals.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.
• Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, counting and the use of tape measure.
• 1 to 3 years' related experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates assigned machines, including resistance welding, brake presses, and mechanical power presses.
• Maintains clean and safe work area.
• Packing finished materials into dunnage and loading/unloading.
• Checks that the finished workpiece conforms to the specifications.
• Completes documentation correctly for process monitors and production tickets.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions and may fix issues during the shift.
