Job summary

A-dec Inc. in Newberg, OR is hiring a Machine Operator I for Pallet Systems on the Day Shift. You will learn and operate simple production machinery under close supervision, performing setup, basic fabrication, polishing and quality checks on produced parts.

No prior machining experience is required; manufacturing experience is a plus. You will work with a trainer, follow written and oral instructions, and contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient production area in a multi-shift environment.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate in English and follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Able to perform basic machining math within 180 days.
• Able to interpret blueprints and work instructions within 180 days.
• Able to use precision measuring tools within 180 days.
• Must pass material handling tests within 180 days.
• Able to identify common tools and materials within 180 days.
• Able to troubleshoot problems to permanent resolution.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and tools under trainer with PPE.
• Parts finishing, deburring, cleaning, routing, and assembly tasks.
• Inspect production parts to blueprints and standard work instructions.
• Complete documentation to comply with policies and procedures.
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Support TPM and lean initiatives in a multi-shift environment.
