Job summary

A-dec Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator I for the Cylinder Assembly on the Weekend Shift at our Oregon - Newberg Campus.

This entry-level role involves operating simple machinery, following established instructions, and contributing to quality parts production. You will work with a trainer, wear PPE, and participate in safety and lean initiatives while developing basic machining skills and routine documentation.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate in English and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Able to perform basic machining math within 180 days.
• Able to interpret job-related blueprints and work instructions within 180 days.
• Must be able to use precision measuring tools within 180 days.
• Must pass material handling required testing within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and tools with a trainer while using required PPE.
• Routinely produce and inspect production parts to a blueprint, operational note, or standard work instruction.
• Complete all documentation required for the position to comply with policies and procedures.
• Achieve and maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance (TPM) on assigned equipment.
• Safely route parts using material handling equipment.
• Engage in department continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
