Job summary

A-dec is seeking an entry-level Machining Operator to operate simple machinery and support fabrication tasks in a supervised setting. You will work from established instructions with guidance from a trainer and a Unit Specialist, focusing on setup, operation, and quality of production parts.

You will perform routine TPM, route parts, and maintain a clean workstation while supporting safety and continuous improvement initiatives across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate in English and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Able to perform basic machining math calculations within 180 days.
• Able to interpret blueprints/work instructions within 180 days.
• Able to use precision measuring tools within 180 days.
• Must pass material handling testing within 180 days.
• Identify common tools and material types within 180 days.
• Troubleshoot problems to achieve permanent resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time and resources.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and tools with a trainer using PPE.
• Finish parts and perform deburring, cleaning, and routing tasks.
• Assemble cylinder test equipment and solder or saw equipment as needed.
• Follow blueprints/notes and inspect parts to quality standards.
