Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks an entry-level Mechanical/Electrical Engineer within the Advanced Facilities Group in Nashville. You’ll support safety, quality, budgeting, and M/E coordination on large industrial projects, including data centers and manufacturing facilities.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of construction experience, strong reading of plans, and proficiency with MS Office. This full-time role is on-site with opportunities to grow in a diverse, award-winning culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering (Required).
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co-op preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learns and participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Completes entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Develops budgetary M/E estimates using automated estimating system.
• Assists in review of mechanical and electrical options in preconstruction.
• Develops M/E scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
• Develops sequencing for systems to meet schedules.
• Reviews design documents to identify constructability issues.
• Performs job inspections to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Supports shop drawing and submittal processes.
• Assists with commissioning including checklists and testing.
