Job summary

Locus is seeking an entry-level Operations Clerk in Richmond, VA to support the Loan Operations department and the Guarantee program. You will help ensure accurate loan documentation, processing, and reporting while coordinating with internal teams.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and offers training for growth in a nonprofit community development environment. Occasional in-person work at the Richmond office is necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training is a plus.
• Accounting and/or banking knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Windows file management.

Responsibilities

• Support daily Loan Operations tasks and Guarantee program administration.
• Process loan documentation and transaction processing.
• Respond to general loan inquiries and update officer changes.
• Set up ACH information for customer payments and provide payoff quotes.
