Job summary

LOCUS Impact Investing in Richmond, VA, seeks an entry-level Operations Clerk to support the Loan Operations department and the Guarantee program. You will handle loan documentation, processing, and reporting, ensuring accuracy across multiple systems.

Minimum 2 days per week in the Richmond office is required. The role includes processing and filing loans, onboarding IIS clients, and assisting with guarantee closings and invoicing for Investors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training is a plus.
• Accounting and/or banking knowledge is a plus, not required.
• Excellent Word, Excel, and Windows file management skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Handle loan processing and maintenance tasks, respond to loan questions, and update contact information.
• Index and file loan documents; scan and organize training materials; retrieve files for review by lenders/auditors.
• Process paid loans, release collateral, and transfer paid files for retention.
• Submit timely UCC continuations filings and manage related documentation.
• Onboard new IIS clients and manage billing for underwriting fees.
• Prepare guarantee closings and assist RM to complete closing.
• Invoicing across investors and manage monthly/quarterly/annual billing; assist with claims and amendments.
• Provide backup coverage for other operations personnel; minimum 2 days in-person in the Richmond office.
