Job summary

Sharks Sports and Entertainment, LLC is seeking an entry-level Control Room Technician 1 for SAP Center and Tech CU Arena in San Jose, CA. This part-time, non-exempt role offers hands-on training, shadowing experienced staff, and support across games, concerts, and rentals.

The position requires availability nights, weekends, and holidays, with a strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, and learning. On-the-job mentoring accompanies structured onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or have a valid work permit.
• Familiarity with production equipment via school, church, or community access.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Clear communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist experienced production staff.
• Participate in setup, teardown, and operation of cameras, shading, PTZ, replay, playback, LED signage, audio, CG, lighting, TD.
• Assist in cabling, labeling, and backstage organization.
• Attend training sessions and fulfill required learning shifts.
• Work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with strong attention to detail.
