Job summary

White Lodging Services, Inc. is seeking an entry-level cook for Yacht Club inside Hotel Trinity, Autograph Collection in downtown Austin, TX.

No prior kitchen experience required as on-the-job training begins from day one in a premier seafood restaurant pre-opening. Ideal candidates are recent culinary graduates or career changers who show passion for upscale seafood cuisine and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• No prior restaurant or hotel kitchen experience required.
• Active unexpired Food Handler's Certification.
• Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for long periods in a high-volume pre-opening kitchen.
• Prior hotel culinary experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train as a Culinarian at Yacht Club inside Hotel Trinity, Autograph Collection Austin — learning and practicing the full duties of a professional cook in a structured culinary development program at this pre-opening fine dining seafood restaurant in downtown Austin, TX
• Follow all White Lodging F&B procedures, health department regulations, and federal food safety guidelines across every shift in this upscale Austin hotel kitchen
• Practice proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in accordance with HACCP standards and Marriott Autograph Collection brand requirements
• Assist in maintaining food cost and labor cost standards — contributing to the financial performance and operational efficiency of the Yacht Club culinary team
• Check ingredient freshness and follow all recipes, oyster bar specifications, and portion-use records — ensuring every dish meets the established quality and presentation standards of this downtown Austin fine dining destination
• Monitor guest feedback scores and work proactively to positively influence food quality rankings for Yacht Club and Hotel Trinity Austin
• Foster a climate of cooperation and respect among all coworkers in this pre-opening hotel kitchen environment
