A. Morton Thomas, LLC (AMT) is hiring a Land Survey Field Technician to work based out of our Washington, DC office. This entry-level role requires no prior survey experience and offers on-the-job training and strong management support to develop your career.

Responsibilities include operating survey instruments, data collection, and field tasks under the survey crew chief. A High School Diploma is required, with CST/Associates/Bachelors in Land Surveying or GIS preferred.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training.
• High School Diploma required.
• Interest in surveying and ability to learn quickly.
• Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform field survey activities to support the survey crew chief.
• Operate survey instruments, levels, GPS, iPad, and data collector; training provided in first year.
• Support manual labor tasks like opening utility manholes and setting survey points.
• Complete daily field survey activities as directed by the crew chief.

Education

Certified Survey Technician / Associate or Bachelor's in Land Surveying or GIS (preferred)
