A. Morton Thomas, LLC (AMT) is hiring a Land Survey Field Technician to work based out of our office in Washington, DC. This entry-level position requires NO prior survey experience, and offers on-the-job training and support to help you grow your career.

As part of the survey team, you will operate survey instruments, GPS, iPad and data collector, perform field tasks, and gain hands-on experience under supervision. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0–1 years of experience; entry-level position.
• Certified Survey Technician preferred or related degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform field survey activities to support the survey crew chief.
• Operate survey instruments, GPS, iPad and data collector; training provided.
• Open and investigate utility manholes and set survey points on construction sites.
• Stock survey supplies in survey vehicle; perform daily field tasks as directed.
