Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC is seeking a Test Technician I at the Miami Valley Materials Testing Center to support laboratory operations in mechanical and chemical testing. You will assist with sample prep, data collection, equipment maintenance, and documentation in a safety-conscious environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable crossing between disciplines while following established procedures and quality standards to ensure accurate test

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and documentation.
• Mechanically inclined and able to work across lab disciplines.
• Willingness to follow procedures, safety requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support laboratory operations through sample preparation and routine testing.
• Collect data, document results, and maintain records according to instructions.
• Assist mechanical testing activities (tensile, hardness, corrosion, fastener tests).
• Assist chemical testing activities including sample prep, testing and inventory management.
• Cut and prepare samples using laboratory equipment and maintain calibration of tools.
• Review work orders and test requests before execution; complete reports and logs.
