Job summary

Pace Labs is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our environmental testing team in Mansfield, AL. You will provide essential support to the department through a variety of laboratory assistance activities while applying your love of science to real-world environmental work.

You’ll receive training to succeed in the role and grow an exciting career in laboratory sciences at Pace Labs, with opportunities to contribute to quality data and safe practices in our laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related laboratory, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and stock laboratory supplies, tools, and related materials.
• Clean laboratory glassware according to GLP methods and maintain organized wash and storage areas.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver glassware, samples, documents, materials, and other items as needed.
• Assist with reviewing, completing, and processing documents, databases, and records related to sample handling and delivery.
• Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and laboratory procedures.
• Contribute to departmental efficiency by offering suggestions and participating as an active team member.
• Promote a positive work environment through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions.
• Assist with general laboratory operations to support scientists and laboratory staff.
