Job summary

Charles River Laboratories seeks an Animal Care Technician I to work at the CRADL facilities in South San Francisco, CA. The role involves observing and documenting animal health and environment, and performing routine husbandry tasks to maintain safety and welfare.

You will report concerns to veterinary staff and ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal guidelines. Rotating holidays and a Monday–Saturday schedule apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation to drive to other CRADL locations.

Responsibilities

• Observe, monitor, and document health and the environment in the CRADL animal facility.
• Perform routine husbandry tasks: feeding, watering, cage changing, and cleaning to maintain a safe environment.
• Support animal health and welfare by reporting concerns to veterinary staff and following SOPs.
