Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking an entry-level Primate Technician I to assist in daily care of research animals and support programs that advance patient health worldwide. Training provided; you will learn animal care protocols, logging data, and handling equipment.

Shift patterns include 6:00am–2:30pm, with permanent Tue-Sat scheduling; on-site work in a warm, controlled environment. We value teamwork, reliability, attention to detail, and flexibility to work holidays and overtime as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Animal care experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a physically demanding role.
• Previous experience maintaining records and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Providing food and water for primates.
• Inspect feeding and watering devices for proper function.
• Cleaning and sanitizing cages and enclosures.
• Observe animals for overall health and wellbeing.
• Assisting with the movement of animals.
• Log animal care data and maintain accurate records.
• Other assigned duties, including restocking supplies.
