Job summary

Firelands Regional Medical Center is seeking an IT Technician to install and maintain desktop software and hardware, and to develop training for new staff. The role includes Level-1 service desk duties, documentation, and basic network security tasks.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent experience, plus willingness to undergo training and obtain necessary certifications. Occasional after-hours work and vendor coordination are possible.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of equivalent experience.
• Willingness to attend training as requested by supervisor.
• Ability to apply learned skills on the job and obtain certifications as needed.
• Knowledge of installing, supporting, and training others on computer equipment and desktop applications.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain desktop software and hardware, and develop training for new staff.
• Provide Level-1 service desk support and assist with escalation.
• Maintain documentation and track progress on active projects.
• Support network security measures and assist with vendor communications.
