Job summary

Canadian Solar Inc. in Mesquite, TX is hiring an Assistant IT Engineer to join our IT team in a manufacturing environment. You will support daily IT operations, end-user support, equipment maintenance, and network connectivity under supervision of the IT Manager.

This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career IT professionals seeking hands-on experience, with opportunities to contribute to IT projects and learn company systems and SOPs in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Internship, co-op, academic project, or other hands-on experience in IT is preferred.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights when required.

Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support to local employees for hardware, software, network, printer, telephone, VPN, and connectivity issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve common PC, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.
Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
Support users with basic Microsoft Office and other business applications.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or appropriate support teams.
