Job summary

CS Power Systems, a cutting-edge division of Canadian Solar, is hiring an entry-level Assistant IT Engineer to support IT operations in a manufacturing setting. You will handle daily IT tasks, end-user support, device maintenance, and network connectivity under guidance.

The role targets recent graduates or early-career professionals; it offers growth opportunities, cross-team collaboration, and exposure to enterprise IT projects in a growing solar manufacturing ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Internship, co-op, academic project, or other hands-on experience in IT is preferred.
• Strong interest in developing a career in IT infrastructure and technical support.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to local employees for hardware, software, network, printer, telephone, VPN, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common PC, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
• Support users with basic Microsoft Office and other business applications.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or appropriate support teams.
