Job summary

Independent Software, Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support vulnerability management, security compliance, and continuous monitoring for mission-critical systems. You will configure Tenable.sc and Nessus, analyze findings, and work with ISSEs to drive remediation.

Additionally, you will use Splunk to correlate security data, develop dashboards and reports, and support RMF, audits, and assessments. A TS/SCI with polygraph is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Experience with vulnerability scanning and security compliance.
• Experience with Tenable.sc, Nessus, and Splunk.
• Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, RMF, and NIST 800-53.

Responsibilities

• Configure, operate, and maintain Tenable.sc and Nessus.
• Conduct vulnerability and STIG compliance scans and troubleshoot scanning issues.
• Analyze findings and coordinate remediation with system administrators and ISSEs.
• Use Splunk to correlate security data and develop dashboards and compliance reports.
• Support RMF activities, continuous monitoring, patch verification, audits, and assessments.
• Develop and refine scanning policies, baselines, and SOPs.
• Test and evaluate system configurations in a lab environment.
• Provide security operations support as needed.
