Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support an Intel Community customer in Herndon, VA and related sites. You will contribute to security design, risk mitigation, and continuous monitoring across DoD/IC environments.

The role requires CISSP, TS/SCI with poly, and strong hands-on experience with Splunk, STIG, and RMF/NIST controls. This position offers robust benefits and growth within a mission-focused team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience; Master's with 6+ years; or 4+ additional years in lieu of degree.
• TS/SCI with polygraph or ability to obtain SCI and pass polygraph.
• CISSP Certification is required.
• Experience with IC Community and in security engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define security requirements and integrate into information systems through secure design.
• Develop security designs addressing hardware, OS, and software to meet STIG/SCTM requirements.
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations; perform STIG compliance checks.
• Configure Splunk apps and dashboards; support continuous monitoring and RMF processes.
• Assist architects in applying IA controls; ensure policy compliance across enterprise systems.
