Job summary

Tic Inc. is seeking entry level helpers for construction and industrial sites. You will assist skilled craftspeople, read blueprints, and help fabricate or position steel members under supervision.

Expect physically demanding tasks, exposure to outdoor conditions, and a strong safety focus. Responsibilities include handling hand and power tools, assisting with hoisting operations, and maintaining alignment and quality while following supervisor directions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read specifications or blueprints.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit-for-duty medical.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read specifications or blueprints to determine material needs.
• Assist craftsmen to fabricate metal parts per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Assist with unloading and positioning prefabricated steel units for hoisting.
• Verify alignment of structural steel members using plumb bobs, lasers, or levels.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces using appropriate tools.
• Assemble hoisting equipment to move heavy equipment or materials.
