Job summary

SmithGroup is seeking an Entry Level Interior Designer for the Phoenix office to join our design team. You will provide interior design concepts, develop presentations and coordinate with consultants on project documentation.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture and at least 1 year of experience, with LEED AP preferred and strong Revit/AutoCAD/SketchUp skills. A hybrid work environment and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of interior design experience.
  • LEED AP preferred.
  • Understanding of space planning concepts and basic building code concepts.
  • Exceptional graphic presentation skills with high proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of interior design services, including generating interior design concepts and presenting them.
  • Compile construction documents package for projects and deliver the design through documentation and detailing.
  • Prepare, develop, and edit specifications.
  • Select FF&E materials.
  • Coordinate with consultants or subcontractors.
  • Work to project budgets and schedules related to interior design component.

While we may ultimately pay more or less than a posted salary range, at the time of posting the anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 annually and you are eligible for a performance-based bonus each year.
