Job summary

Gentry Service Group in Swannanoa, NC seeks an HVAC Apprentice Installer to join our growing team. No prior industry experience required; paid training is provided. This role focuses on installing heating and cooling systems to our standards and delivering a high-quality customer experience.

Work hours are 7:30 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with some overtime. Pay is up to $20 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and growing career opportunities in a high-tech green industry.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and insurable by Company insurance carrier.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Willingness to invest time in training seminars and classes.
• Prior HVAC experience or training is helpful.
• Good math/science aptitude.
• Tolerant of heights or close in spaces.
• Understand the basic principles of construction.
• Clean in Appearance.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions as given, written and verbal.
• Basic Safety knowledge of tools and surroundings.
• Comply with ALL SAFETY RULES.
• Understand how to use a tape measure.
• Ability to work in close quarters and work off a 20" ladder.
• Unloading/Stocking supplies and Equipment.
• Unloading/Loading truck.
• Cut & drill holes.
• Insulate duct.
• Build platforms.
• Ability to fill out a daily timecard accurately.
• Possesses both written and verbal English language skills.

Primary Job Function:
