Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers in Lone Tree, Colorado is seeking an entry-level Estimator to join the Estimating Group within the Infrastructure Design Department. The role involves reviewing contract documents, performing quantity takeoffs and pricing for design-build projects, and collaborating with estimators and engineers to provide constructability input.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred
• GPA above 3.0 preferred
• 0-2 years’ experience in estimating
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Possess strong mathematical and computer skills
• Must be able to meet deadlines
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Candidates must possess a strong work ethic
• Work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
• Must be willing to travel as the job requires

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.).
• Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing of design-build projects in the infrastructure market.
• Coordinate with estimators and engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans.
• Participate in Task Force Meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions with estimators and engineers/designers.
• Identify, quantify, and communicate Risk throughout the estimating process.
• Performing site visits and investigations as needed.
