Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Field Engineer to join our Central District in the Denver area. You will interpret drawings, plan field work, supervise operations, and support safety and quality on heavy civil transportation projects. Travel to assigned project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering or related field preferred.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as projects require.
• Experience in infrastructure/heavy civil projects preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and high work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews.
• Prepare work plans and work packages.
• Conduct quality inspections.
• Order and schedule material deliveries.
• Assist in field surveying and preparing JHA's.
• Documents and communicates schedule progress and quantities for 3-week and 90-day updates.
• Supervise field operations and support subcontractor work.
• Perform takeoffs from drawings and contract documents.
• Assist with entering data into the job cost system and reviewing cost reports.
