Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician in the New York area. You will maintain, repair, and install equipment and facilities under supervision, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities include performing routine PMs, reading schematics, and supporting multiple departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• 1-2 years of maintenance/repair experience in a manufacturing environment desirable.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Must be able to safely use hydraulic, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps, and other small tools.
• Able to read basic machine schematics with minimal guidance.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including scheduled PMs as directed.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Follow OSHA requirements and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Share information with supervisor and team members clearly.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure success.
• Other duties as assigned.
