Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install equipment and facilities under direct supervision. This role is designed as the entry level in the Maintenance Technician series.

You will perform routine maintenance tasks, inspect mechanical equipment, and read basic machine schematics. The position emphasizes safety, organization, and teamwork to support production uptime.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Must be able to use hydraulic, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps and related tools safely.
• Willing to learn to use measuring equipment to diagnose wear or damage in machine parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks and duties including scheduled preventative maintenance as assigned by a supervisor.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Know OSHA requirements as they pertain to daily activities.
• Practice safety awareness, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Share information with supervisor and team members clearly and promptly.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and use hand and power tools as needed.
