Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install equipment, machinery, and facilities under direct supervision.

The role involves routine maintenance, inspection of mechanical systems, and strict adherence to OSHA safety rules. Candidates should be prepared to lift heavy items, read machine schematics, and work collaboratively with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Must be able to use equipment safely: hydraulic, pneumatic, presses, cordless drills, clamps and other misc small tools.
• Willing to learn to use measuring equipment to 0.001"; includes digital and dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, levels, etc.
• Familiarity with related hand tools and troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks including scheduled preventive maintenance as assigned by a supervisor.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Follow OSHA requirements relevant to daily activities.
• Practice safety awareness in all actions and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Share information with supervisor and team members clearly.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
• Organize parts and materials in proper locations.
• Lift/move materials up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure overall success.
• Other duties as assigned.
