Job summary

Lycoming Engines, a Textron Systems business unit, is seeking an Associate Industrial Engineer in Williamsport, PA. The role focuses on developing manufacturing strategies to improve productivity under supervision, with mentorship and hands-on exposure across functions.

You will learn to estimate times, develop load plans, and analyze schedules while contributing to cost reduction initiatives and weekly performance reports. A strong foundation in design/manufacturing engineering is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering strongly preferred.
• Read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Access; familiarity with Process Simulation Software is a plus.
• Six Sigma training or certification.
• Machining or manufacturing knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Learn to summarize, by significant categories, issues that affected manufacturing activity to Production supervisor.
• Learn to develop crew load/shop load plans and reports.
• Learn to estimate time value or standard in appropriate electronic systems.
• Learn to provide schedule variance figures to manufacturing and assist in weekly performance reports explanations.
• Learn to implement cost reduction ideas (Method Improvements).
• Learn to provide Weekly Activity reports.
• Ensure visual factory information is always current.
• Time standards applications.
• Schedule and cost analysis.
• Manpower justification.
• Manufacturing cost savings.
