Lycoming Engines, a Textron company, invites you to an entry-level role that develops and coordinates with manufacturing the strategies and plans to improve productivity under management supervision.

You will learn to summarize manufacturing issues, develop crew load plans, estimate times in electronic systems, provide schedule variance figures, and support cost reduction ideas through ongoing mentorship and training.

Qualifications

• Degree in Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering is strongly preferred.
• Read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Excel/Word/Access or similar PC software familiarity.
• Six Sigma training is a plus.
• Machining or manufacturing knowledge is beneficial.
• Process simulation software knowledge is a plus.
• Adherence to ISO, DI and related standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Learn to summarize issues affecting manufacturing activity for the Production supervisor.
• Learn to develop crew/load plans and related reports.
• Learn to estimate time values in electronic systems.
• Learn to provide schedule variance figures and weekly performance explanations.
• Learn to implement cost-reduction ideas (method improvements).
• Learn to provide weekly activity reports and keep visuals up to date.
• Support schedule and cost analysis and manpower justification.
