Job summary

Oilgear is seeking an entry-level Assembly & Test Technician in Fremont, NE. The role focuses on basic assembly or test tasks under supervision, with a development path toward cross-training in both areas.

You will work from detailed drawings and use precision instruments to verify tolerances and ensure quality, while contributing to safe operations. The position offers hands-on learning, structured training, and opportunities for advancement in a high-performance hydraulic systems environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, specs, and procedures.
• Willingness to work any assigned shift and meet physical demands with/without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or test hydraulic components and sub-assemblies under supervision.
• Set up and operate test stands for pressure and functional tests.
• Inspect and document results using required systems.
• Identify defects and take corrective action or escalate as needed.
• Cross-train between assembly and test to build dual-skill capabilities.
