IES Residential, Inc. is seeking an entry-level HVAC Maintenance Technician to assist with preventative maintenance, inspections, basic troubleshooting, and general service support for residential and commercial HVAC systems.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service as you gain hands-on experience and complete on-the-job training. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC school, technical certification, or related training preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Must be able to pass background and drug screening, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Clean and maintain HVAC equipment, components, and work areas.
• Inspect systems for proper operation and identify potential issues.
• Replace filters, belts, and other basic components as needed.
• Document service performed and communicate findings clearly.
• Provide professional customer service during all interactions.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle (if assigned).
• Assist senior technicians with repairs and installations as needed.
• Complete required training and certification programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
