Job summary

Climate Control Group is seeking a Lab Tech I to build engineering prototypes and maintain psychrometric test cells and lab conditioning equipment. The role involves modifying units, operating test cells, and supporting sustaining and NPD projects with supervision.

The position requires basic HVAC knowledge, familiarity with electrical concepts, and the ability to read drawings and work with standard procedures. Regulatory compliance and safety are emphasized, with potential weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology or equivalent experience preferred.
• Entry level HVAC aptitude and basic technical ability.
• Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from Project Engineers, Designers and Senior Technicians.
• Set up and install equipment in test cells per procedures.
• Read and interpret sheet metal drawings and wiring diagrams; develop wire charts.
• Perform unit modifications with minimal supervision.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area per 5S principles.
• Operate psychrometric test cells and airflow measuring stations per standards.
