Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, modify, wire, and build prototype HVAC units, electrical components, and test fixtures based on engineering drawings.
  • Set up and configure testing environments that simulate real-world indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Install and utilize data-gathering instrumentation (e.g., thermocouples, temp and humidity sensors).
  • Conduct performance and stress testing of HVAC units in specialized test chambers to evaluate capacity and efficiency.
  • Collect, analyze, and document test data; prepare reports and communicate results to R&D, engineering, and innovation teams.
  • Perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and minor repairs on laboratory equipment and test fixtures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems (AC/DC, single-phase and three-phase).
  • Troubleshoot HVAC systems, including electrical and refrigeration components.
  • Assemble and modify mechanical equipment and system components as required.
  • Safely operate test stand equipment and resolve issues encountered during testing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure lab environment, including managing tools and inventory.
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of R&D

  • Build, test, and troubleshoot prototype heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units to ensure safety, reliability, and performance prior to production
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct performance and regulatory compliance testing while maintaining lab safety and operational standards
