You will assist with residential HVAC design, Manual J heat load calculations, permit documentation, and related engineering tasks. You will receive training to develop proficiency in industry software, design processes, and HVAC load calculations, with a clear path for long-term growth and advancement within the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work with technical information.
• Experience with RightSoft or similar HVAC design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Manual J residential heat load calculations and related HVAC design calculations. Training will be provided, with proficiency typically developing over approximately 6–12 months.
• Create and update residential house drawings using applicable design and engineering software, including entering required building, construction, and equipment parameters.
• Assist with preparing information used by the engineering/design team to determine appropriate equipment sizing and develop duct system designs.
• Assist with preparing and organizing permit documentation and other supporting materials for residential projects.
• Review residential plans, project information, calculations, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Gather, organize, and maintain accurate project information, files, calculations, and related documentation.
• Learn and use Rightsoft and other applicable software to support residential HVAC calculations and design activities.
• Communicate with internal team members regarding project information, design requirements, documentation, and project needs.
• Participate in training and continuously develop knowledge of residential HVAC design principles, construction practices, software, and applicable standards.
• Perform other engineering, design, and administrative duties as assigned.
