University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Pathology, is seeking an entry-level Histotechnologist (Healthcare Entry Professional) for full-time work onsite in Aurora, CO. The role involves processing prostate specimens, mapping biopsies, embedding, sectioning, staining, and administrative duties related to tissue samples.
Minimum qualifications include a biology degree and HT/HTL/ASCP certification (or eligible with certification within 2 years).
The Department of Pathology is excited to recruit a full-time (1.0 FTE) entry-level Histotechnologist at the rank of Healthcare Entry Professional. The entry-level histotechnologist will process whole mount prostate, prostate mapping biopsies, and other types of specimens received in the Histology Subspeciality Laboratory. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:

* Bachelor's degree in biological science, nutrition, nursing, health, human services, psychology, counseling, social work, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Enroll in and maintain Histology Certification through ASCP's Certification Maintenance Program.
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $60,222 to $76,602.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
