Republic Services is seeking a hazardous waste technician to operate in outdoor warehouse environments, loading and unloading drums and containers and sampling contents for quality and safety. The role requires careful handling and adherence to safety procedures.

Forklift operation under company safety standards is part of the job. A 40-hour HAZWOPER training is required upon hire, with training provided for the forklift if needed.

Qualifications

• When hired, must pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training.
• Basic knowledge of hazardous material classes and waste codes.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload drums, totes, and containers from trucks.
• Sample contents of drums, totes, and containers.
• Consolidate drum contents into larger containers for processing.
• Operate forklift under safety standards; forklift license not required, training provided.
