BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking a Groundsperson, Tree Care in The Woodlands, TX to support tree trimming and removal operations. You will assist with ground-level tasks such as clearing brush, chipping branches, and debris disposal, in an entry-level role with no prior experience required.

The position emphasizes safe operation of basic equipment, PPE usage, and teamwork, with opportunities to learn and grow in landscaping and arboricultural field operations.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring no prior experience.
• Follow established directions and procedures related to roping and rigging.
• Perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division involving measurements for arboricultural work.
• Apply critical thinking to interpret and carry out instructions.
• Use standardized hand signals to communicate with climbers.
• Communicate with the public to provide clear direction around work zones.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic ground-level tree care operations in support of pruning, removal, and maintenance activities.
• Demonstrate introductory level proficiency in the safe operation of powered equipment, including woodchippers, trucks, and blowers.
• Use hand tools such as hand saws, pole pruners, rakes, and shovels effectively and safely to complete assigned tree care tasks.
• Select and use appropriate task-specific PPE in accordance with industry safety standards and company protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site. Implement traffic and pedestrian control measures and protect the work zone at all times.
