Job summary

Forge Biologics, based in Columbus, OH, is seeking an entry-level Technician I for GMP manufacturing support. You will contribute to AAV gene therapy production, focusing on cleaning, sanitization, tubing set prep, and coordinating inventory in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.

The role offers growth through mentorship, hands-on learning, and exposure to cross-functional teams while supporting production transfer activities in a purpose-driven company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience following SOPs or other protocols/work instructions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn manufacturing software.
• Ability to work the hours necessary to support production.
• Ability to work in loud environments and in PPE as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize GMP facilities and equipment per SOPs and cGMP.
• Assist in tube set preparation under supervision and document procedures.
• Replenish cleaning and consumables supplies and manage inventory.
• Stock and maintain common-use items in the cleanroom for daily operations.
• Monitor expiration dates and rotate/replace consumables to avoid shortages.
• Maintain accurate real-time documentation and review logs.
• Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment/process issues.
• Collaborate with GMP Manufacturing, QA, QC, and Product Development teams.
• Assist in equipment setup, inventory management, and material requests.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean workspace.
