Job summary

ADVANCED INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN is seeking a full-time entry-level geotechnical/pavement engineer to provide crucial field and design services throughout New Jersey and the Philadelphia area. This role involves inspecting borings, pavement coring, and subgrade sampling, essential for defining subsurface conditions.

Your responsibilities include supporting subsurface investigations, preparing location plans, and contributing to a variety of projects. Candidates must have a degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on geotechnical and pavement engineering as well as strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an academic focus in geotechnical and pavement engineering.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience.
  • EIT or Engineering Intern certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing geotechnical boring and test pit inspections including soil and rock sample collection.
  • Supervising pavement coring and performing soil field testing.
  • Characterizing geotechnical subsurface conditions under guidance.
