Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Philadelphia, PA office to perform geotechnical investigations, design work, and construction-support assignments.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineers and field personnel, assisting with borings and tests, evaluating results, and preparing calculations and reports; a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 0–3 years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work in both office and field settings.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with geotechnical investigation, design, and construction-support assignments.
• Assist with test borings, test pits, and infiltration testing; document field conditions.
• Help evaluate field and laboratory results and prepare geotechnical calculations, foundation evaluations, recommendations, and reports.
• Coordinate assigned work with engineers, geologists, field personnel, clients, and drilling subcontractors.
• Observe foundation and earthwork construction and perform assigned materials testing.
• Support multiple projects while maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.
