Job summary

CTL Engineering in Cincinnati seeks an entry-level Geotechnical Engineer (EI) to support geotechnical explorations and investigations for diverse projects. You will work with project teams and clients to deliver customized studies, reports, and practical solutions throughout the land profile evaluation process.

Responsibilities include site characterizations, lab test coordination, design development, and ensuring quality control.

Qualifications

0-3 years of experience.
EI certification preferred; obtain within six months of hire.
BS in Civil Engineering; MS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform geotechnical explorations, site characterizations, and risk evaluation.
Work independently on broad projects with supervision by the Dept. Manager.
Coordinate lab testing assignments and review results for content and accuracy.
Interact with clients on technical aspects of projects.
Review soils laboratory test results.
Assist in planning subsurface investigation programs and locating test borings.
Design development and analysis of earth embankments, retaining structures, and anchoring systems.
Perform analysis and design of shallow and deep foundations and slope stability.
Monitor and enforce quality control standards and specifications.
