Job summary

Standish Management, a provider of specialized fund administration services for private equity funds across North America, seeks an associate to oversee the accounting for management companies of venture capital and private equity funds. You will handle AP/AR, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and GL maintenance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, 0–1 year of accounting experience, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 0–1 year of accounting and general ledger experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a team and individually.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties for accounts payable and receivable.
• Book journal entries, bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger.
• Reconcile credit cards and expense reports.
• Assist with monthly or quarterly reporting requirements.
• Prepare 1099s and provide support for federal, state and local tax compliance.
• Maintain various web-based accounting platforms.
• Work on ad hoc requests from the client.
