Job summary

WestRock Company is seeking an entry level Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team in a position focused on financial analysis and accounting support within a distribution environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and the ability to work independently on monthly closing, forecasting, and reporting tasks. Strong Excel and analytical skills are essential, with JD Edwards and Hyperion experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• Basic experience with financial analysis and reconciliation processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with Alteryx enhances analysis.
• Experience with JD Edwards or Hyperion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly financial closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Perform monthly cost and variance analysis.
• Complete assigned financial reporting needs.
• Provide support for monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
• Support activities related to internal and external audit requirements.
• Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting and project support as needed.
