Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an entry level Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team in Georgia. This role provides business analysis for financial activities in support of the Distribution Segment’s operations and requires effective communication and the ability to work independently.

You will perform monthly closings, cost and variance analysis, and support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities. Strong Excel and Office skills are essential; JD Edwards and Hyperion experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Basic experience with financial analysis and reconciliation processes.
• Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team/collaborative environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
• Experience in JD Edwards and Hyperion a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly financial closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Perform monthly cost and variance analysis.
• Complete assigned financial reporting needs.
• Provide support for monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
• Support activities related to internal and external audit requirements.
• Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting and project support as needed.
